Out Today keeps nothing about you. There is no account to make and the app has no server of its own. This page says what stays on your phone, what leaves it and where it goes.

What stays on your phone

Your home, your children's birth dates, your notes, the activities you tick, the places you mark as been here and every setting are stored on your phone and in the phone's own backup, nowhere else. Out Today never sees them. Delete the app and they go with it.

Your location

The app asks for your location only while you are using it, to measure how far each activity is from where you are. Your location stays on this phone and never reaches Out Today.

To find a place, the travel times and the map, the address you type or the phone's position goes to Apple Maps, as it does from the Maps app. If you say no to location, the app works without distances.

Fetching the listings

The app fetches its listings from outtoday.app. As with any web page, the request carries your phone's internet address to the host serving the file, Cloudflare. Out Today keeps no record of it and runs no analytics.

Opening an activity's page

An activity's own page opens in a browser inside the app. The site you open sees the visit as it would from Safari, under its own privacy policy.

Writing to Out Today

Writing to Out Today, Report a change included, opens your own mail app. What you send sits in the app's mailbox, is used to answer you and to correct the listing, and is shared with nobody.

Shout a coffee

Shout a coffee goes through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple takes the payment and tells the app only that it succeeded. The app never sees your name, your card or your Apple ID.

Apple's statistics

Where you share analytics with developers, Apple gives Out Today totals of installs, sessions, crashes and country, never who you are.

This website

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without a cookie and without identifying you, so Out Today sees totals, never who.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
